Riverside Academy has 7 classes and a 30-place nursery.

Each year group has one class, although our teachers work closely together to ensure that pupils progress throughout their learning journey at the school and achieve their full potential.

Each class has many opportunities to both develop and apply skills across all subjects in the curriculum. We ensure that lessons include challenging learning opportunities to enable our children to become independent learners who strive to make excellent progress in all areas of their work.

Our classes are a rich mix of ability. To support the progress our children make, in addition to the teacher, each class has a teaching assistant who provides targeted support for individuals and groups of children.

The visitors to our school invariably comment on the high standards of behaviour, confidence and friendly nature of our children.

Our classes are fortunate to have access to stunning outside play spaces that we also use as outdoor learning spaces when the weather allows!
